- As you
can tell I finally got my internet connection going here in Chicago.
My new job seems to be going ok, so hopefully I'll be able to
get everything back on track.
- Version
0.2 of MultiTheftAuto VC has been released over at mtavc.com.

bit of news, Baz has started a GTA Scraper MTA League. Check out
more in this
thread.
- Previously
I mentioned that Manhunt's Carcer City was mentioned in GTA3. Johan
was good enough to inform me that the news break featuring Carcer City
appears on Lips 106 for those of you who want to give it another listen.
- GTAViceMods

like you to know GTAViceMods.com and the VCM system have reached
a nice little milestone this morning, namely 1 million mod downloads!
This accounts for over 16.000 mods downloaded every single day.

Double Pack For PS2 & XBox
"Rockstar Games' Grand Theft Auto 3 and
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City
Double Pack To Ship This Fall On Xbox and PlayStation 2
NEW YORK--Sept. 3, 2003--Rockstar Games, the world-renowned
publishing division of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. (NASDAQ:
TTWO), announced today that it plans to ship the award-winning Grand
Theft Auto 3 and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City as a "double pack"
for
both the PlayStation(R)2 computer entertainment system and the Xbox(R)
video game system from Microsoft. The Grand Theft Auto "double
pack"
is set to hit shelves in North America on October 22, 2003 for
PlayStation(R)2 and on November 4, 2003 for Xbox."
So far they haven't said if this new double pack will contain
anything in the way of extras. Personally I would love to see
a rework of GTA3 with all the VC engine updates on the PS2, not to mention
motorcycles in Liberty City :). I'm guessing the XBox version
will look close to level detail we saw in the PC version. Check
the official GTA
site for more information and screens or read the press
release at Take2. Thanks to Richard, Wade, H20, DaGrkPimp92,

Payback Contest Winners Announced
"Congratulations to Bryan Walker of Camdenton, MO and Matt Knost
of Fayetteville, GA - winners of the Insane Stunt Jump and the Thirty
Extraordinary Seconds contest categories, respectively. Check out both
winning replays at www.rockstargames.com/vicecity/pc/contest.
Walker's corkscrew grind is a deceptively simple-looking execution of
flawless motorbike trickery, and an exemplification of far too much
idle time. While Knost's sequence of unbelievable bike jumps, flips
and bounces owes itself to equal measures of divine skill and luck.
Both gents will meritoriously receive an ATI: RADEON(tm) videocard and
the Vice City neon sign."
Both of the winners pulled off some crazy sh*t, but that second video
in the "30 extraordinary seconds" category is just fu*king
amazing

- Please,
if you haven't checked your computer for viruses lately, do me and everyone
else a favor and read this. If you have and
you know you're clean, at least pass on this information to your friends.
I am getting upwards of 5000 email a day, 4980 of these are from
people who are infected by the SoBig virus. Even with a lot of
filtering in place it's still a pain in the ass, not to mention a waste
of good bandwidth.
- Forelli_Boy
mentioned another possible influence for Manhunt. I'm not sure
how many of you have seen the movie
or read the book,
The Running Man, but the plot lines are somewhat similar to those mentioned
in the Manhunt previews. On a side note, the Manhunt site went
official awhile back, check www.rockstargames.com/manhunt
for more details.
- GOE GTA3
Multiplayer has released the latest version of their multiplayer mod
for the Windows and Linux platforms. Check the GGM
site for more details. Thanks to S3KT0R for the link.
- ABC
News and Good Morning America are at it again. This time we
have two idiots shooting at random cars with shotguns, claiming that
they didn't mean to hurt anyone. Ok, now were talking about two
teens, aged 14 and 16. How the fu*k could they not know that shooting
at cars with a shotgun might be just slightly dangerous or possibly
even harmful for the drivers? You would have to be mentally deficient
to the point where you couldn't wipe your own ass to not know that,
and even then you'd probably know. I'm assuming they both can
wipe their own asses, so my only other recourse is to think they are
looking for the best way out of an already fu*ked up situation by looking
for a scapegoat to turn attention away from their own idiocy. Thanks
to Doofey and SyckShyt.
- I'm trying
to keep up with everything but this week has been pretty hectic. Basically
I just quit my last job and I'm moving to Chicago where I will start
my new job next Monday. I'm hoping this new job will allow me
more time to get G! back on track since it's a more regular 9-5 gig
and I'm finally out of the bullshit world of retail jobs.
